Ice Cream Contest Rules


1. All ice cream is to be made in a crank or electric ice cream freezer.
2. No commercial mixes may be used. Entries must be made from scratch.
3. There will be two classes Vanilla and Anything Goes (you may enter both).
4. Entries will be judged on flavor, texture, appearance & originality (for anything goes).
5. Enter ice cream by 3:30 p.m. on Sunday, August 24 at Tingley Memorial Park (west side).
6. Bring your ice cream in a cooler packed with salt & ice or dry ice to keep it below freezing until judging begins!
Ice alone does not prevent your ice cream from melting which will affect the appearance being judged!
7. We ask that contestants dip their ice cream to the public beginning at 5:00 p.m.
    Please bring your own dipper. Bowls & spoons provided.

Pie Contest Rules

1. All pies must be homemade (no purchased pies).
2. Categories include single crust and double crust.
3. Please bring entry in disposable pie plate.
4. A contestant may enter as many pies as desired.
5. No pre-registration required - arrive with your pie to be judged.
6. Entries will be judged on taste, crust and overall appearance.
7. Please do NOT bring your pie directly from the oven!
Pies should be entered at a temperature where the judges can immediately sample your entry!
8. Enter pie between 3:00-3:15 p.m. on Sunday, August 24 at Wagon Wheel Cafe
